Good morning and welcome back to the light! I wanted to post a bonus edition so we could acknowledge the solstice together. Yesterday we experienced the Winter Solstice which marks the beginning of winter in the Northern hemisphere. It also marks the longest night of the year where we have more night than day. Moving forward every day we will have more light than dark.
I had the privilege of attending a solstice guided meditation class two years ago and it was beautiful. We focused not only on celebrating new beginnings as we move closer to the start of a new year, but more importantly in my opinion, we focused on the dark of the past as well. This may seem odd to you, but frustration, anger, sadness, fear, and worry are as much a part of who we are as joy, elation, peace, and love. So today I ask you to take a moment to sit quietly, focus on your breathing and take stock of those things that make you who you are. Acknowledge the dark that you are carrying with you daily and decide what you are taking with you into the new year. Release those things which no longer serve you. Find hope for the future and face it head on.

I leave you today with wishes for a beautiful holiday season and new year filled with hope and light.
